Hello all!
 Sorry for the lateness of the email. Once again,we have Anime Society this
Friday (Nov 20) at 7:30 in A-1046. This time around, it's Member's Choice,
which means if you hate the showing, for once it's not our fault! And we're
showing:
 
Higurashi no Kokoru ni
 
 On one hot summer day in 1983, a transfer student named Maebara Keiichi comes
to a peaceful rural village in Hinamizawa. There, he befriends his classmates
Rena, Mion, Rika, and Satoko. Accepted as a full-fledged member of the "club,"
Keiichi and the gang plays all sorts of activities ranging from card and board
games to hide-and-seek. But just as Keiichi was beginning to be assimilated in
simple rural life, he stumbles upon the dark history of Hinamizawa. As Keiichi
dives deeper into the mystery, he finds that his new found friends may not be
all what they claim to be.
 
Ef - A Tale of Memories
 
 The anime revolves around two protagonists, Hirono Hiro and Asou Renji. On
Christmas Eve, Hirono Hiro meets a girl named Miyamura Miyako who was chasing
a purse snatcher. Hiro later finds out that Miyako also goes to the same
school as he does and they start hanging out together. This made Hiro's
childhood friend, Shindou Kei, feel left out. Kei then tries to compete with
Miyako for Hiro's affection and a love triangle ensues. The anime also tells
the story of Asou Renji. Renji meets a girl named Shindou Chihiro at an
abandoned train station. He soon learns that Chihiro suffers from a type of
amnesia where her memory span only lasts for 13 hours. He also discovers
Chihiro's dream of writing a novel, but she has never been able to fulfill
that dream due to her condition. Renji then decides to help her fulfill that
dream.
